The Legal and Financial Viability Check (LFVC) is a mandatory assessment performed by the National Funding Body on organisations from their country or region to determine whether an application can progress further in the evaluation process or if it should be disqualified. A negative result may arise from incorrect SME status, incorrect legal establishment, financial difficulty, noncompliance with national rules, missing self-funding declaration, or SME form, or insufficient financial capacity.

Eurostars is part of the European Partnership on Innovative SMEs. The partnership is co-funded by the European Union through Horizon Europe.
