Eurostars funding information for Cyprus
SME
Eurostars is part of the European Partnership on Innovative SMEs. The partnership is co-funded by the European Union through Horizon Europe.
The Research Innovation Foundation (RIF) funds R&D costs for SMEs participating in the national Eurostars programme.
Participation of a Cypriot SME is compulsory. Participation of startups is not allowed except for those with marketable products/services, with a record for sales and turnover and audited financial statements for at least two years.
Funding intensity for SMEs is up to 70% of their total project costs.
The maximum funding amount is a grant of 200,000 euro per project for the Cypriot participants. The amount can be increased to 250,000 euro if the transnational project consortium is led by a Cypriot innovative SME.
Project duration is between 12-36 months.
Each company can receive funding from the RIF for a maximum of two Eurostars projects during the 2021-2027 period.
Large company
Eurostars is part of the European Partnership on Innovative SMEs. The partnership is co-funded by the European Union through Horizon Europe.

Up to three organisations may participate in the Cypriot consortium.
Large companies can receive up to 65% of their total project costs.
Research organisation or university

The Research Innovation Foundation (RIF) funds R&D costs for public universities and research organisations participating in our Eurostars programme, provided that an SME is participating. Up to three organisations may participate in the Cypriot consortium.
Public universities and research organisations can receive up to 100% of their total project costs.
